The Hangover 2 Image Debuts: More Costume Wackiness to Come

A few days back, Warner Bros. released the first official image and synopsis from The Hangover Part II – Todd Philips’ follow up to his own mega success comedy. You have no doubt read/seen both by now, but we do have a little something to add…

Clothes on Film recently had a quick chat with costume designer Louise Mingenbach as she was shooting The Hangover: Part II in Thailand. According to Louise, a safari suit with sandals and socks were exactly what she considered Zach Galifianakis’ character, well intentioned man-child Alan, would deem appropriate for a trip to southeast Asia (note, too ,what appears to be Louis Vuitton luggage). Moreover we have plenty of exciting and hilarious costume choices to come. Adds Louise:

He has a couple of other good outfits he’s packed for his trip as well. Sand washed silk pantsuits!

Zach Galifianakis in silk trousers or Bradley Cooper in a blue Harrington jacket and slim white jeans? It is difficult to predict which outfit is going to prove more popular.

Judge for yourself when The Hangover: Part II is released in cinemas on 26th May next year.

The LV luggage on the cart is real, but the Carryall that Zak has is a replica.

What is the brand or where else can I get Jamie Chung’s blue dress from the dinner?

  • R

What designer did the groom and grooms mens’ suits and shirts at the wedding?

  • John

Any idea who made the madras/twill shirt Ed Helms wears through out the film?

  • Martha

Where can I find the bridesmaids dress from Hangover part II? They were off-white, short in length, and it looked like they were wearing a jacket with a side collar. It would be perfect for my encore wedding (second time wedding).

    Thank you. Martha

Do you know the name/brand of the watch that Bradley Cooper wears?
    Thanks 🙂

Where can I buy the blue dress worn by the bride in the hangover? She wears to the dinner?

Who designed the groom and grooms mens’ suits and shirts in the final scene at the wedding of Hangover 2?

    • Chris Laverty

I’m afraid I still haven’t seen the film. As soon as I do, hopefully I’ll post another ‘costume guide’ similar to THIS ONE or at least an interview with Louise Mingenbach.

Have you had any luck finding those grommsmen shirts or any similar? I am looking for one for my fiance and have had no luck either………….

  • Courtney

I want my fiance’ and groomsmen to wear the suits worn in Hangover 2. I am having an impossible time finding out who the designer is, as well as any suit similar. We are getting married in Hawaii in April and any help wd be greatly appreciated.

As it’s Christmas and I’m feeling silly happy I’ve chased this up for you with Louise Mingenbach who has very kindly put us in the picture: LA tailor Dennis Kim made the suits. Kim cuts lots of sharp suits for movies and celebrities (Oceans 13 and Inception for example). He does take outside clients but will insist on a couple of fittings. His address is 3106 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90010.
